Balay Sofia Inc (BSI) is a young Steiner/Waldorf school that offers an education that is both healing and nurturing. In a fast-paced and hectic world, Balay Sofia creates a safe space where children can take their time to enjoy childhood, explore and revel at the world's intricacies and learn at a pace that is healthy and meaningful to them. Our teachers carry the children in their hearts and minds, and strive to prepare each child for life.
We find that the children are able to get the most of their education at Balay Sofia when the parents and family seek out the unique character of Steiner/Waldorf Education for their children, support Balay Sofia's educational goals, as well as share the school community's culture and values. As partners, these families recognize and accept the role of parents in supporting the pedagogical and community work of the school and the children enrolled.
The admissions process involves the determination by both the school and the parents that the child's needs will be met in a way that is developmentally appropriate and healthy for the child, their class or grade level, and the school community. This is applicable to both new and returning students.

RE-ADMISSION PROCESS GUIDE
For those enrolled in SY 2025-26 & Re-enrolling for SY 26-27
A non-refundable Admission Fee of 1600 Php must be paid upon submission of the Re-enrollment form.
Payment details are found on the form.
STEP 1
Student Clearance from SY 2025-26
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ALL ENROLLEES:
Copy of the proof of payment for the Admission fee of Php 1600
Updated 1 pc. 1” x 1” colored I.D. picture
Updated 1 pc. 2” x 2” colored I.D. picture
Copy of most recent Medical Certificate and immunization papers

STEP 3
Parent Interview
This step is conducted in person, and both parents are encouraged to attend. If both cannot be present, at least one parent (preferably the primary caregiver) should attend.
For incoming Kindergarten students, the teacher will also meet your child, so please bring them along.
Completion of Steps 1 to 2 is required before scheduling a Parent Interview.
NOTE: A student assessment is only required for incoming Grade 1 students and transferees. Please follow the Admissions Process for New Students for details.
STEP 4
Results
- The results will be sent via email, and a discussion between the parent/s and the Admissions team will be scheduled.
STEP 5
Enrollment
- This step is to be done in person. It includes:
- - Submission of hard copy of required documents (see step1)
- - Discussion and completion of the Enrollment Contract.
- - Downpayment

Parent Orientation
Before a child will be admitted into class, at least one parent must have attended the following:
